Taylor's Academy Series was built with a simple goal in mind, put high end features on a guitar at an accessible price point. In reaching their goal, they created guitars that are easy to play, comfortable to play, and able to produce a great tone!


Some of the features that are specific to the Academy 12e-N include:


  • Grand Concert body shape that has a smaller body and is especially well suited for fingerstyle.
  • The nylong strings require less tension, making the strings easier on the fingertips to press down on.
  • Solid Lutz Spruce top, which is a hybrid wood made for it's power, richness, and volume paired with layered Sapele back and sides.
  • Taylor's ES-B pickup/preamp combo with built in tuner.
